As our ProFee and OP Coding Quality Assurance Mentor, you will help ­­ensure coding quality standards are met by performing internal quality audits to identify areas of improvement and education opportunities. Every day you will audit the work completed by our coding team, provide feedback to established coders and mentor new coding hires. To thrive in this role you must be comfortable providing direct feedback to internal coders, have coding credentials (CPC, CCS-P, COC, RHIT, or RHIA) and progressive experience as a profee and outpatient coder including experience with coding quality reviews or audits.

Here’s what you will experience working as a Coding QA Mentor:

  • Perform monthly quality reviews for established coders; review audits performed by our global quality review team to ensure quality, identify trends and opportunities for education, and ensure alignment across departments

  • Participate in cross functional calibration sessions to ensure knowledge alignment with client needs and specifications. 

  • Perform progress milestone and coding reviews for new coders and auditors during prebill and ramp phases providing ongoing feedback to support growth and development

  • Prepare weekly reports for management and support production coding as needed

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • One of the following coding certifications: CPC, CCS-, COC, CCS RHIT, RHIA

  • Outpatient and multi-specialty profee coding experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory care setting

  • Strong coding knowledge including CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers, CMS guidelines, Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC), and Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS)

 

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $65,342.00 - $94,799.70 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
