Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Composite Fabrication Technician to join our growing fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in composite layup processes, including wet layup and prepreg techniques, as well as the ability to work on complex builds. This role involves creating high-quality composite components for a variety of applications, ensuring that all work meets strict quality standards and project deadlines.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform composite layups, including prepreg and wet layups and vacuum bagging, for the fabrication of parts and components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to accurately manufacture parts.
  • Prepare molds, tools, and materials for the fabrication process.
  • Work with various composite materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, and resin systems.
  • Trim, sand, and finish composite parts to precise specifications.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the fabrication process, identifying defects and performing repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure proper build sequences and timelines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Operate fabrication equipment and tools safely and effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in composite fabrication or related field required.
  • Proficiency in prepreg and wet layup, vacuum bagging, and other composite manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
