JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:        Production Team Manager

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead and manage daily production operations on the shop floor to ensure safe, stable, and efficient execution of the production plan.
  • Chair daily operational meetings to align manpower, materials, equipment, and priorities to meet production requirements.
  • Be accountable for team performance in EHS, process safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
  • Establish and maintain standardized operating practices, workforce discipline, and visual management on the shop floor.
  • Partner closely with the maintenance team to improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support uninterrupted operations.
  • Collaborate with the MPS team to ensure effective production scheduling and on-time fulfillment of weekly orders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, cost, delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Act as a change leader by promoting company values, operational excellence, and a culture of accountability and engagement.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and special assignments as directed by the Production Manager.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in the chemical industry, with demonstrated responsibility for frontline operations, team coordination, and production execution.

  • Solid understanding of polymer or formulation manufacturing processes and related shop-floor controls.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with production planning, maintenance, quality, engineering, and EHS teams.
  • Good understanding of EHS and process safety management requirements in chemical manufacturing environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, analysis, and daily operational management.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; Green Belt certification is preferred.
