Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line production support for Fixed Income Cross Asset, Collateral Management, and Risk systems across multiple asset classes.
- IT Application Support for Fixed Income Cross Asset systems, Global Risk Data Warehouse, and Market Risk and Credit Risk applications, ensuring stability and service continuity.
- Act as a key point of contact for traders and risk managers on operational issues, functional queries, and change requests.
- Analyze issues/production incidents to determine business and technical impact, and define effective remediation strategies and work with stakeholders for resolution.
- Lead incident management end to end, including triage, escalation, coordination, and closure in line with governance requirements.
- Oversee problem management, change/release deployment, environment governance, and automation initiatives to reduce operational toil and improve efficiency.
- Take full ownership of logged incidents & problem tickets, drive remediation until full closure and resolution.
- Stay resilient under high-stress production incidents; triage urgent live issues efficiently during critical outages to mitigate business impact.
- Build strong partnerships with front-office and technology teams to support trading and risk workflows and improve service delivery.
- Foster robust working relationships with core dependent technology teams to streamline cross-team collaboration.
- Identify areas of toil and apply AI or Automation tools to optimize workload.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
- Over 5 years of industry experience in L1/L2 application support. Investment banking experience is preferable.
- Strong hands–on experience using the following technologies: Java, Python, MS SQL Server/Oracle. SQL Scripting, Querying, Debugging, Stored Procedures
- UNIX / LINUX / Windows skills.
- Job scheduling technologies like Autosys
- Practical working knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Ability to understand and write shell scripting / Python programming.
- Critical thinking mind-set, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with time critical milestones.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Experience in communicating with stakeholders with varying technical expertise and levels of seniority.
- Self-motivated, proactive in nature, and ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a global organization.
- Motivated to learn new technologies and develop skills.
- Strong written and spoken English with conversational level Japanese desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts and tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Docker.
- Familiarity with Big data technologies like (Dremio, MinIO, Spark) will be a plus.
- Knowledge of Basel II/ FRTB & IMM regulatory frameworks will be a plus..
