The Production Supervisor will lead and motivate a shift in order to fulfill operating procedures, meet the production schedule, and develop production team members to create an efficiently operating production team structure. Directs labor force to meet goals and deadline for the shift.

QualificationsKey Responsibilities:
- Ensure that QA procedures are being followed correctly by production Team Members.
- Ensure that production procedures are being completed properly by production Team Members.
- Ensure that production Team Members are following Aunt Em's sanitation, GMPs, HACCP procedures, Food Safety policies and Occupational Safety Policies.
- Address Food Safety, Quality and Occupational Safety concerns with Operations, Quality and Maintenance Teams.
- Ensure that all physical areas within and around the facility are secure and safe to ensure the safety of plant personal and product integrity.
- Motivate production Team Members in their job performance.
- Manage shift efficiency for optimal performance.
- Mentor and develop Team Members.
- Work with HR to hire and retain top performers.
- Ensure that Aunt Em's safety policies and procedures are being followed by Team Members.
- Train and coordinate training for production Team Members to promote satisfactory job performance.
- Issues performance reviews, pay increases, and discipline per the company processes and policies.
- Consistently administer discipline according to The Aunt Em's Team Member Handbook.
- Work with other Shift Leaders to cover positions for call-ins, vacations, or injuries.
- Work with shift leads to cover fellow shift lead absences.
- Make process improvement suggestions.
- Report daily production performance and opportunities to plant leaders.
- Serves as back-up for Production Manager.
- In Production Supervisor’s absence, another Production Supervisor, Production Manager, or Maintenance Technician will cover this position’s duties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising other employees
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Team-oriented personality.
- Attentive to details and highly organized.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Well-developed sense of personal initiative.
- Demonstrated history of logical decision making.
Skills Required
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising other employees
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety procedures
- Experience ensuring QA and production procedures are followed
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop production team members
- Experience with performance management, discipline, and conducting reviews
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
