The Role

As a Production Supervisor, you will work onsite in Salem, OR. You will report to the Production Manager. You will mentor teams to ensure safety, quality, and productivity. This will achieve goals through the development of and adherence to standardized work, which will help meet them. Through process confirmation and building worker accountability, you will ensure that the shift is running safely and producing quality products. This is a 12 hour weekend shift working from 4-4:30 Fri-Sun with one rotating shift every 2 weeks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities.
  • Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents.
  • Resolve workflow problems by analyzing impediments and organizing work to improve use of personnel and material resources.
  • Assign work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes on daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Help to maintain the safety program to minimize accidents and injuries and to provide a safe working environment.
  • Support problem resolution with cross-functional teams, including the Quality department, Engineers, and others.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in production with previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, to bend, and stand or walk for long periods of time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to use ERP systems
