Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety and productivity of Equipment's and all production employees staffed on production department, as well as plant security. Additionally, the production supervisor position is accountable for ensuring that production data have been reported correctly as well as production scheduled for completion is executed in a timely manner and within all quality parameter
Responsibilities
• Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift • Ensure security of facilities during designated shift hours.
• Enforce all Health & Safety programs and processing procedures
• Should be able to operate all fiberizing equipment, Filtration system, cooling tower, compressors, sieving machine.
• Troubleshoot plant equipment and process problems
• Report equipment problems using the work order system
• Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol
• Understand and follow the plant start-up and shut-down procedures
• Prepare daily production report, downtime, number of bags, total weight, amount of spares changes, total amount of production, total working hours and ensure accuracy.
• Train new employees and coach existing employees
Work with employees to improve performance
• Enable effective communications between management and production teams.
• Ensure productivity meets management’s goals
• Ensure finished product meets all quality requirements
• Investigate and report all incidents (spills, accidents, poor performance, MNCR, BAT)
• Report all unsafe equipment or hazards
• Ensure good housekeeping levels are maintained at all times
• Provide other services or direction to employees as directed by management
• Take care of empty boxes, bags, skids and place in proper place
• Report anything that is unsafe or hazardous to maintenance and Plant Manager immediately
• Maintain housekeeping in working area at all times.
• Suggest and implement cost-saving ideas
Safety Responsibilities
• To ensure the health and safety of all workers under their direct supervision.
• To be knowledgeable about and comply with the Alkegen regulations and any applicable orders.
• To ensure workers:
Are made aware of health and safety hazards. Comply with Alkegen regulations and orders. To co-operate with the joint health and safety committee.
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Quality Control lab testing
• Intimate operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes
• Knowledge of Fiberizing processing and work procedures.
• Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by the schedule
• Basic understanding of computers
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic math skills Education and Experience
• Bachelor Degree in suitable Engineering Filed Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Must be able to climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 23 Kg
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
• Must be able to pass Pulmonary Function Test • Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment
