As a Production Supervisor, you are accountable for production workflow and on time delivery. You lead and maintain effective production lines, ensuring that safe and efficient production methods are employed while consistently meeting our delivery timelines, quality standards, and promoting a positive work environment.

 

Meet Your Future Team:


You will work with a team of Production Supervisors and collaborate with other key collaborators from Production, Engineering, Training, Production Quality, Maintenance and other departments. 

If you were the Production Supervisor now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • You lead strong production lines by fostering a positive and high-performance culture through motivating, empowering, and enabling operators to be at their best.
  • You ensure that relevant KPI’s are set, communicated, and achieved on a regular basis and proactively address issues and concerns brought up by your team.
  • You support the frontline operators through regular one on one coaching and manage disciplinary actions and documenting results as needed
  • You monitor and assess employee performance and provide feedback to ensure timely training and work force planning; recognize or take disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • You coordinate proper training for new and existing employees to nurture new talents and strengthen skill level and foster a collaborative team base environment which promotes knowledge sharing and cross training of skills.
  • You efficiently plan the distribution of work to ensure a constant flow of tasks to the entire team; liaise with raw materials and planning teams and prepare production plan to meet customer deliver dates.
  • You proactively partner, communicate, and problem solve with other departments (such as but not limited to, Engineering, Training, Quality, Maintenance etc.) to ensure continuous improvements of effective and efficient production are achieved and maintained.
  • You effectively communicate and coach your team to manage daily production workflow, coordinate manpower, and ensure work equipment are properly maintained and managed as needed
  • You promote a clean and safe working environment by following 6S principles manage.
  • You track attendance and approve time off based on resource planning for your production lines
  • You review relevant data to understand the performance of the production lines, update the DPU’s, AQL and SQDIP boards daily and communicate performance of the lines effectively to your people leader, peers and direct reports
  • You effectively use different software programs and are able to monitor, update and manage daily for issues and data reporting.
  • You perform other duties and special projects as assigned, which may include LEAN manufacturing, health and safety, best place to work, factory tour and improvements.
  • You ensure production related data in our internal systems are accurate and updated on time, providing clear visibility and interactive functions to enable accurate reporting and planning in relation to delivery, quality, planning and performance management.
  • You prepare and communicate production status updates to key internal and external collaborators on regular base of daily, weekly and monthly to get aligned about focuses, priorities and projections.
  • You support with other special projects as assigned

  • Build relationships with Production Planning and learn how to plan and organize manpower to prevent backlogs and bottlenecks
  • Work on projects in collaboration with Engineering and Production Quality to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the production line operations

Are you our next Production Supervisor?

  • You have 5+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced, high volume frontline environment and 2+ years of progressive experience in a leadership role
  • You have strong leadership ability and team building skills with a diverse work group
  • You have proficient English verbal and written communication skills
  • You have effective organizational and problem-solving skills with a high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
  • You are a team player and have ability to communicate and interface with cross functional teams effectively with respect and tactfulness
  • You have strong computer skills with, excel, power point, word, and Microsoft teams, ERP and or MRP systems
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You can balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it

Assets:

  • You have a post-secondary education in Engineering, Business Administration or another relevant field.
  • You have experience working in an apparel industry.
  • You have experience in manual and automation operations.
  • You have knowledge and experience working with LEAN, 6S and working with KPIs
