PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Air Rover, a trusted American brand of Western Protective Solutions, has been designing and manufacturing high-reliability portable environmental control solutions since 1987. Our precision-engineered units serve aerospace, defense, and commercial customers with heat-sensitive, mission-critical needs.

Air Rover is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations at our Tyler, Texas facility. This position is responsible for ensuring production teams safely and efficiently meet expectations for quality, productivity, cost, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills. HVAC and/or Environmental Control Unit (ECU) experience is preferred but not required.

This position reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with Engineering, Performance/Quality, Materials, Human Resources, and other support functions.

• Lead daily production operations, coordinating employees, priorities, materials, and workflow to meet safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery goals.

• Supervise and develop production employees through clear expectations, coaching, training, performance feedback, and accountability.

• Monitor production performance and address schedule delays, quality concerns, labor constraints, equipment issues, and other barriers.

• Drive continuous improvement by identifying waste, leading problem-solving efforts, and implementing improvements to quality, efficiency, and throughput.

• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and standard work requirements, including company policies, procedures, and 6S/workplace organization.

• Coordinate production readiness and material needs, identifying shortages and working cross-functionally to maintain production flow.

• Partner with Engineering, Performance/Quality, Materials, and Operations to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

• Serve as a key communication link between leadership and production employees regarding priorities, expectations, changes, and performance.

• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.

• 2+ years of supervisory or manufacturing leadership experience.

• HVAC and/or ECU experience preferred, but not required.

• Quality control experience preferred.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing processes and equipment.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and standard work.

• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience preferred.

Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier materials with assistance; sit, stand, bend, or crouch for extended periods; read technical information; inspect manufactured products; and safely work with or around hand tools, machinery, and production equipment.
