As we continue to grow our Daleville, VA operations, we are looking for an Electrical Panel Shop Supervisor to lead our panel shop team and help ensure safe, efficient, high-quality production.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands electrical panel manufacturing, can troubleshoot technical issues, and enjoys developing people while keeping production moving.
What You’ll Do- Supervise daily operations of the Electrical Panel Shop and lead production activities.
- Assign work, establish priorities, manage staffing, and monitor productivity.
- Oversee the assembly, wiring, labeling, and testing of electrical control panels and assemblies.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and engineering drawings.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for electrical and assembly issues.
- Ensure panels meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Materials, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve issues and keep production on track.
- Support engineering changes, ECOs, and updated manufacturing requirements.
- Lead safety initiatives, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout requirements.
- Coach, train, and develop panel shop employees while setting clear expectations for safety, quality, attendance, and performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, throughput, and efficiency.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help manage material availability, inventory concerns, and production shortages.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical manufacturing, panel assembly, industrial controls, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of electrical panel construction, wiring, and assembly.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and engineering drawings.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of electrical components and industrial control systems.
- Working knowledge of electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Preferred:
- Technical degree, electrical certification, or formal electrical training.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, DDC controls, or industrial automation.
- Experience in HVAC, data center equipment, engineered-to-order manufacturing, or industrial equipment.
- Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen experience.
- Experience with ERP/MRP or manufacturing systems.
- Experience training and developing electrical technicians or panel builders.
