Position Summary:

This position has the responsibility for the hiring, leading and support of employees in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment necessary. Responsible for employee Safety, Quality and Productivity of assigned operations. This is a working on the floor position that requires daily mobility working with production employees. The main objective is to ensure that production needs are completed to meet Cellofoam standards. Ensuring Cellofoam requirements meet and are recorded as needed.


Essential Position Requirements (include but are not limited to):

  • SAFETY FIRST – Every employee of Cellofoam North America Inc. must demonstrate a strong commitment to following all safety standards, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
  • Directing employees including the assigning of job duties, ensuring KPI’s are met and recorded daily. Supporting and ensuring product being produced meets Cellofoam Quality specifications and requirements. The completion of daily production reports and shift paperwork as required.
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
  • Supervise and verify equipment set-up prior to start of a production run, ability to operate and shut down manufacturing equipment.
  • Verify order information and produce part(s) with the correct material, density, weight, size, and/or shape within quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements while meeting productivity standards.
  • Ensuring machine start up, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Coaching, developing, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Perform other production duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere with a culture of respect for others.
  • Uses appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding plant or employee concerns.
  • Maintain a working knowledge and is in full compliance with corporate standards for business conduct and Federal anti-trust laws.
  • Adhere to Cellofoam North America Inc. company focus areas: Safety, Financial, Customer, and People.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Associate Degree or equivalent leadership manufacturing experience

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to lead, direct and train others to perform assigned tasks
  • Support and optimize production output driving continuous improvement
  • Mechanical: General Knowledge of machinery and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Ability to use and articulate measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, weigh scales)
  • Quality Control and Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.

 

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of prior experience in manufacturing management environment
  • Organizational, communication and team building skills
     

Software Skills Required

  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and understand CAD and blueprints preferred

Other Information

  • Flexibility in working hours to include nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Floor production position – working in production environment majority of time
  • Overtime work may be required.
