- Supervise daily production operations, ensuring targets are met efficiently and safely.
- Allocate manpower, monitor output, and manage shift activities
- Troubleshoot issues on the shop floor and ensure timely resolutions
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams for smooth workflows
- Track operator productivity and machine utilization
- Maintain shop-floor discipline, cleanliness, and safety (5S)
- Enforce SOPs and support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean)
- Train new operators and guide existing team on best practices
- Monitor material consumption and stock for daily operations
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
RequirementsJob Requirements
Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical/Production Engineering
2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing setup, preferably in a precision engineering environment
Prior experience in supervising operators and managing shift production
Strong leadership and people-handling skills
Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining processes
Practical knowledge of tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments
Basic understanding of production planning and scheduling
Familiarity with ISO or quality system requirements
Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight timelines
Computer literacy – MS Office, production tracking tools, etc.
Should be proactive, disciplined, and result-oriented
Comfortable with rotational shifts (if required)
Should demonstrate high ownership and attention to detail
