The Production Supervisor will lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations for a designated shift. This role is critical in ensuring that safety, quality, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction targets are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership and a proven ability to motivate and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and train production employees to achieve shift goals in safety, quality, production, packaging, and maintenance
  • Coordinate closely with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality, logistics) to ensure production targets are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Collaborate with the operations team to manage staffing needs, ensuring coverage for planned and unplanned absences
  • Establish and track performance metrics for safety, quality, and productivity; take corrective actions to maintain or improve results
  • Accurately input production data into internal systems to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as equipment efficiency, downtime, yield, and inventory levels
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication by updating visual boards and leading daily start-up meetings to inform employees about safety alerts, production goals, and quality issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on labor efficiency, machine uptime, and cost control—leveraging lean tools as needed
  • Foster a culture of workplace organization and cleanliness by implementing 5S principles and promoting plant housekeeping standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operators facing mechanical or process-related issues; coordinate with maintenance to ensure timely troubleshooting and preventive care
  • Conduct periodic tool and parts inventory checks to ensure readiness for maintenance or production needs
  • Review and validate timekeeping records for hourly employees and submit for payroll processing
  • Other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing supervisory role; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Certification in Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success in a lean manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work across multiple shifts or provide flexible availability as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and production data systems
