Position Overview

GTI is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and support production execution across fabrication, assembly, and integration activities. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, schedule attainment, workforce accountability, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience supervising production teams within industrial manufacturing, fabrication, or modular assembly operations and possess a hands-on leadership style focused on execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

    Production Leadership & Execution

  • Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, and production targets are consistently achieved.
  • Supervise and coordinate production employees across assigned areas, shifts, or value streams.
  • Communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production goals to team members and ensure accountability to performance expectations.
  • Monitor workflow, labor utilization, and production schedules to maximize throughput and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper staffing, resource allocation, and shift coordination to support operational demands.
  • Drive schedule execution while maintaining adherence to quality and delivery requirements.
  • Safety & Quality

  • Enforce all company safety procedures, policies, and environmental standards across the manufacturing floor.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through daily engagement, accountability, and proactive hazard identification.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve production issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Support root cause analysis, continuous improvement activities, and implementation of preventative measures.
  • Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop production employees, team leads, and operators.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performance culture focused on teamwork and execution.
  • Train and mentor employees on safety, quality, standard work, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Conduct performance feedback discussions and support employee development initiatives.
  • Promote organizational structure and clear communication across the production floor.
  • Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
  • Monitor production metrics including throughput, downtime, labor efficiency, and schedule attainment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Assist with implementation of process improvements, layout optimization, and standardized work practices.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, production, or industrial operations environment.
  • Experience supervising production teams in fast-paced manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow management, and production scheduling.
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to drive accountability and floor execution.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a production environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to read and interpret production documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing drawings preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing software preferred.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
