We are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to join our blended products team. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a motivated supervisor who is passionate about safety, operational excellence, people leadership, and continuous improvement.
This role will be responsible for planning, organising and coordinating personnel, plant, subcontractors and resources to ensure blending and manufacturing activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, coordinate and supervise daily blending and manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards and customer requirements are achieved.
- Manage and optimise the utilisation of labour, plant, equipment and subcontractors to maximise operational efficiency and productivity.
- Lead, coach and develop team members through effective performance management, training, mentoring and workforce planning.
- Monitor operational performance, budgets and resource allocation to drive cost-effective outcomes and support business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees, customers, contractors and internal stakeholders, ensuring a high level of communication and service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing production and quality performance, implementing improvements and challenging existing processes to enhance safety, efficiency and product quality.
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements while driving Zero Harm initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 5 years' experience within bitumen emulsion, asphalt or chemical manufacturing, or related industries.
- Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience, ideally within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills.
- Experience managing operational costs and budgets.
- Experience maintaining plant and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to build and maintain effective and inclusive working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Sound understanding of safety legislation and risk management practices.
- Ability to identify and resolve product quality issues.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and systems with the ability to identify hazards to ensure a safe working environment for our employees.
