Position Summary:
As our Production Supervisor, you will lead daily manufacturing operations with a highly visible, hands-on presence on the production floor to ensure product commitments are achieved safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You will oversee Production Leads and Assemblers while driving operational performance through disciplined execution, workforce optimization and continuous improvement.
This role blends operations leadership production management. You will be accountable for On-Time Delivery (OTD), production output, schedule attainment, labor efficiency, quality, and cost performance, while partnering with cross-functional teams to remove barriers and improve manufacturing performance. You will serve as the primary liaison between Production, Training, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Human Resources, and EHS.
This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; AS or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) due to ITAR regulations.
- 5-7+ years of progressive experience within aerospace, defense, or other complex manufacturing environments.
- 3+ years of leadership experience supervising manufacturing teams.
- J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications are required.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, FOD prevention, and continuous improvement principles.
- Expert-level skills in all core assembly processes: soldering, crimping, wire termination, harness building, and (preferably) potting/molding.
- Demonstrated ability to lead manufacturing operations while achieving delivery, productivity, efficiency, and quality objectives.
- Advance ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, routers, and work instructions.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, conflict resolution, and employee development skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Syspro) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

- Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule attainment, production output, labor efficiency, and productivity goals.
- Maintain a highly visible, hands-on presence on the manufacturing floor by actively directing operations, coaching employees, removing barriers, and driving execution throughout the shift.
- Execute daily production schedule by aligning labor, equipment, and materials with customer demand and shifting business priorities.
- Partner with Operations Manager and Production Leads to optimize capacity, labor utilization, throughput, and operational performance.
- Montior production performance throughout the shift and quickly resolve issues impacting safety, quality, productivity, or delivery commitments.
- Analyze KPIs including OTD, schedule attainment, productivity, labor efficiency, scrap, rework, downtime, and backlog while implementing corrective actions to improve performance.
- Lead and develop Production Leads while holding teams accountable for safety, quality, attendance, productivity, and performance expectations.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, FOD prevention, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and throughput.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, AS9100 quality standards, ITAR regulations, and customer requirements.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), customer audits, production readiness activities and critical, shifting customer priorities.
- Develop workforce capability through coaching, cross-training, and performance management.

Pay Transparency:
Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this exempt position is $30 - 35 per hour.
