The Production Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Production Supervisors are:

What you'll do...
- Ensure adherence and compliance to the Ford Production System (FPS) Key Unifying Processes (KUP)
- Understand and consistently apply standard manufacturing operating systems and principles
- Enforce compliance with Safety Operating System practices to achieve zero injuries
- Ensure compliance with Quality Operating System practices to achieve zero defects
- Use Andon data to prioritize efforts to achieve 100% flow
- Lead constraint analysis reviews and coordinate activities with proper teams to eliminate bottlenecks
- Optimize throughput to meet and/or beat build schedule in accordance with budgets and cost objectives while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Confirm process standards are in place and being followed
- Manage changes to system working collaboratively with engineering
- Support Work Teams for short- and long-term countermeasures of all abnormalities
- Strategic planning and coordination of Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) activities to achieve Safety, Quality, and Productivity objectives
- Communication to work teams and Recognition of accomplishments
- Develop highly competent and motivated teams
- Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
- Basic Administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
- Facilitate start-up/shift-to-shift meetings
- Guide salaried employees
- Plan, coordinate and execute training for personnel within the department
- Coordinate maintenance activities prioritizing resources to ensure safety and quality
- Stand in for the Team Manager whenever necessary
- Ensure adherence and compliance to the Ford Production System (FPS) Key Unifying Processes (KUP)
Manage production and skilled maintenance employees
You'll have...
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 5 years of Manufacturing Plant Supervisory experience
- At least 3 years of Material Handling Supervisory Experience
- Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Capable of assigning work to hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
Even Better You'll Have…
- Bachelor’s Degree
- High volume production experience preferred
- Safety and Quality experience preferred
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of constraint management principles
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Prior experience managing a diverse work force

This position is a salary grade 6-7 - from $72,480 -$141,360
