Production Supervisor / Senior Production Supervisor [RP01-003]

Oversee production teams to ensure smooth operations. Manage workforce allocation, including effectively managing foreign workers. Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Mon-Fri (8am-5.30pm) ; Sat (8am-1pm) (2 tea breaks and 1 hour lunchtime)

Monthly Salary Range
RM3,300 - RM5,100 depending on experience

Responsibilities

Production Planning and Execution

• Plan, organize, and coordinate daily production activities to ensure the production of high-quality products.

• Organize workflow, assign tasks, and prepare schedules; adjust manpower as needed to optimize efficiency.

• Ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and resources to minimize downtime and delays.

Quality Assurance

• Ensure all products meet internal and external quality standards and specifications.

• Implement and maintain quality control procedures and documentation.

• Promptly address and resolve any quality issues or non-conformances.

• Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Safety and Compliance

• Enforce adherence to company health and safety regulations and best practices

• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of production areas.

• Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Act as Safety Officer, ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and environmental standards.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and efficiency.

• Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.

• Analyse production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.

• Participate in regular management meetings and contribute to strategic planning.

Process Improvement

• Identify, recommend, and implement process enhancements to drive productivity and cost savings.

• Implement 5S methodology, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Encourage staff involvement in problem-solving and innovation.

Resource Management

• Oversee the proper use and maintenance of machinery, tools, and equipment.

• Schedule preventive maintenance and minimize unplanned downtime.

• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support production schedules

• Support management in ad-hoc projects & process enhancements.

Other Requirements

• Min. 5 years relevant experience, ideally in SME manufacturing environments.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work independently with integrity and strong leadership; lead by example and drive accountability.

• Detail-oriented, good analytical and problem-solving skills.
