Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our meat processing and production facility. This role is responsible for leading production employees, ensuring product quality and food safety standards are maintained, and supporting efficient workflow throughout the production process. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is committed to maintaining the high-quality standards associated with premium meat products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily production activities within meat processing, packaging, and distribution operations
  • Ensure production goals, quality standards, and customer specifications are consistently met
  • Monitor workflow and staffing to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
  • Enforce company policies, USDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Train, coach, and support production employees while promoting accountability and teamwork
  • Conduct routine floor inspections to ensure sanitation, safety, and quality compliance
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Shipping, Maintenance, and other departments to support operational needs
  • Monitor yields, product handling, and inventory usage to reduce waste and improve efficiency
  • Assist with employee scheduling, attendance tracking, and performance management
  • Investigate and address production issues, equipment concerns, or employee incidents promptly
  • Ensure accurate completion of production paperwork, reports, and operational documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies throughout the facility
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional manufacturing or supervisory training preferred
  • 2–5 years of supervisory experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of USDA regulations, food safety standards, GMPs, and HACCP practices preferred
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, refrigerated production environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and production reporting systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Skills Required
