Location: IKO Glass Fiber Inc., Chester, SC Department: Production Type: Full Time (FT/PT/Cont)

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO;
- Promote and maintain IKO safety goals and ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Leads safety, housekeeping efforts, and corrective actions within assigned projects and areas. Exemplifies safety in all actions and leads by example.
- Leads primary employees to meet established goals including: safety, quality, value, morale, and housekeeping. Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of personnel activity at plant.
- Ensures positive employee relations. Provides employee coaching and personal development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution, utilizing established performance counseling process.
- Enforces plant policies and procedures. Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provides regular progress reports to management team.
- Manages department priorities. Manages exceptions and special causes. Notifies appropriate personnel as needed.
- Accurately and timely records personnel records. Completes all other required reports in a timely manner.
- Responsible for staffing per established levels based on pre-established efficiency levels.
- Recommend and coordinate changes as needed.
- Responsible for team scheduling to include work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
- Leads the primary employee training effort through proper planning, scheduling, and coordination. Ensures training of new and cross-training employees as well as required up-date training.
- Coordinate with production manager on staffing, goals, and counseling of hourly associates.
- Establish employee goals and conduct quarterly employee performance reviews.
- Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.
- Other duties as required.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;
- High school diploma required. Preferably with minimum of eight years of relevant experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide simple and accurate instructions.
