Pay Range: $18-$22
Responsibilities:
- Receive and release rail cars.
- Work with computers, tablets with BAAN, POP, Excel and other computer programs.
- Deliver via pump system the correct material into the correct silo.
- Take daily silo readings from E-Bob.
- Compare Silo Levels / Measurements to previous day to know what product to unload.
- Monitor E-Bob system to keep from over filling silos.
- Know and determine what product is in each silo.
- Recognize proper connections from railcar to manifold to pump to silo.
- Understand and make proper adjustments of rail car manifold.
- Monitor Vacuum and Pressure gauges.
- Know the proper sequence of railcar valves to open for unloading.
- Communicate regularly with the purchasing department to replace cars as needed.
- Accurately fill out paperwork and verify all information matches cars and material samples as required.
- Work with little to no supervision.
- Obtain resin samples for quality samples for quality dept.
- Troubleshoot any problems during daily operations.
- Clean or replace filters as needed.
- Monitor oil levels in the vacuum pump and replace as needed.
- Work outside in weather (sometimes extreme conditions).
- Proper use of fall protection system must be worn when on railcars (NO fear of heights or walking on top of cars)
- Follow all HACCP and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s)
- Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws
- Report accidents, unsafe conditions that may jeopardize the integrity of self, fellow workers, machines or installations, to the shift advisor, production manager or safety manager.
- Support inventory activities when required.
- Support fellow workers in any activity required by the supervisor or production manager.
- Perform other related duties that contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by the supervisor.
