The Production Services Specialist is responsible for the setup, operation, removal and maintenance of all production service equipment needed for the production of concerts and events. In addition, the employee must be able to modify and reconfigure production services equipment as required by performers, or events, and engineer all technical aspects of the equipment. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Assist in the load-in and load out of live bands and other entertainment.
2.    Setup all audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline and video for performances, based on event technical riders and other on-site event needs.  
3.    Setup video equipment and screens necessary for visual presentations and productions.
4.    Coordinate sound-checks and rehearsals for live performances.
5.    Responsible for troubleshooting problems with theatrical equipment including but not limited to audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline and video.
6.    Operate theatrical equipment during live shows and other events including but not limited to audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline and video systems. Will act as a lead specialist in any one or more of those Technical areas.
7.    Take direction and live cues from stage managers and/or Production Services Manager.
8.    Assist bands, performers and event producers with other show related needs necessary for the successful production of an event.
9.    Perform routine and preventive maintenance on Production Services equipment.
10.    Work independently without direct supervision.
11.    Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.  Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
12.    Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times.  Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
13.    Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
14.    Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
15.    Attend all necessary meetings.
16.    Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.  Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:
1.    Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2.    High school diploma or its equivalency required.
3.    Four (4) years’ experience in the set-up, operation, removal and maintenance of any one or more of the following technical areas: audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline and video or Hotel AV.
4.    Intermediate knowledge of technical theatre and its components as well as skill sets and knowledge of theatrical equipment and principals.

Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
1.    Must possess excellent communication skills.
2.    Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
3.    Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.  When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud.  Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
1.    Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
2.    Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.   
3.    Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees and members of the business community in all situations.  
 

Salary Starting Rate:$22.00

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
 

Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived.

Skills Required

  • Must be at least 18 years old upon employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
