The Production Scheduling Manager will be responsible for oversight and hands on management of all aspects of the Material Handling activities including shipping and receiving of materials, warehouse storage, parts picking, parts staging, timely delivery of parts to production, cycle counting, direction for and adherence to prebuild schedules, and safety. Also responsible for staffing to meet customer demands, efficiency, and personnel development. Responsible for all aspects of scheduling, reporting, plant floor activity coordination, bill of material and work orders.
What you get to accomplish:
- Supervise 5- 25 hourly employees providing daily direction in multiple locations along with preproduction requirements while track progress of tasks and communicate barriers.
- Create and maintain production schedule by obtaining information through daily shop floor interaction
- Responsible for reviewing capacity and constraints while balancing orders with plant capacity
- Create and report weekly production numbers and distribute daily production schedule.
- Create ad hoc reporting using Excel and Salesforce reporting tools.
- Confer with Plant Supervisors and Operators, Procurement, Distribution and Customer Service to coordinate production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, involving as many resources as necessary to bring the issue to quick and accurate resolution, involving department and plant management on an “as needed” basis.
What you should posses:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain preferred or work equivalent.
- 3+ years of production planning/scheduling experience preferred.
- 5+ years of manufacturing shop supervisory experience.
- APICS CPIM certification a plus. Experience with ERP system, preferably Rootstock.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
