ATI is seeking to hire a Production Scheduling Lead to support our chemical and mechanical test labs at our Natrona Heights, PA Facility.
This position will lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of material flow through the Test Labs, provide plans that meet lab flow performance objectives and minimize excess backlog, review capacities for equipment constraint, define lead times and report loading levels to Lab Supervisions and Production Planners, provide support to production scheduling on all test flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements, and manage backlog levels that will enable optimal lead times, while achieving operational throughput goals.
Essential Functions
- Manage the daily test planning, priorities, capacity levels, and lead times process for the Test Labs.
- Develop reports to determine incoming workloads and track lab performance to optimize lab performance.
- Manage the scheduling function with input and oversight from Lab Supervision.
- Perform data analysis of lab loadings and utilize problem solving to optimize material throughput.
- Develop and implement plans to improve test throughput and meet performance goals.
- Maintain backlog issues and discuss equipment loading and discrepancies with Supervision.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Lab Supervision to meet customer expectations on order delivery dates.
- Represent the Test Labs on Supply Chain and Operations calls.
- Serve as the primary backup Lab Supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Associates degree and 4 years of experience in a manufacturing testing environment OR a bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in a manufacturing testing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Technical field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In-depth understanding of production control flow and logistics issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required in dealing with both internal and external customers.
- Possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Possess strong leadership and influencing capabilities.
- Technically competent, persuasive and organized.
