Description
Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient operations within a manufacturing and co-packing environment. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to align production plans with customer demand, inventory levels, labor availability, and line capacity while meeting quality and delivery expectations.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules for manufacturing and co-packing lines
- Coordinate with buyers, warehouse, and production teams to ensure materials and resources are available to meet client timelines
- Adjust schedules in real time to accommodate changes such as rush orders, equipment downtime, or supply disruptions
- Monitor production progress and communicate status updates, delays, and risks to stakeholders
- Optimize line utilization, minimize downtime, and improve overall production efficiency
- Collaborate with quality and operations teams to ensure compliance with product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Support inventory management by collaborating with demand planners to align production plans with customer schedules and stock levels
- Has the desire & skillset to thrive in a fast-packed, dynamically growing environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- ERP software experience: Syteline or IFS experience is a plus.
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills – Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- MRP experience is a plus
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong organizational and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Production Management or equivalent.
Food Safety Responsibilities:
- Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)
- Participate in company GMP walks
- Enforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoring
Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel between facilities located in Elk Grove Village, IL and Bartlett, IL on a regular basis
- Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degrees
- This position may require the employee to work weekends or shifts other than their own to meet the needs of the business.
Physical Requirements:

Skills Required
