ABOUT THE POSITION

Manufacturing schedulers perform various functions in making sure that production processes in a manufacturing company are properly organized/scheduled at all times, so as to reduce production costs, efficient utilization of available raw materials, and deliver products to customers on time, in full.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development, and coordination of production schedules on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to meet customer demand. Manage/modify Work Orders, based upon changing conditions within the manufacturing pipeline.
  • Review system demands; identify and report plant capacity constraints.
  • Work with manager to develop potential solutions to improve production performance.
  • Analyze and address production issues in a timely fashion
  • Directly engage with Material Planning to ensure proper balance between production demand, and material supply.
  • Directly engage with production, and inventory personnel to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Work closely with contracts group to ensure proper management of system demands.
  • Analyze data, make reports, work in cross functional improvement teams, and utilize expertise to make decisions.
  • Additionally, the production scheduler will work with manager to identify opportunities to improve the manufacturing or production process through more effective schedule management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Persons.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years working experience in a Scheduling, Supply Chain role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills, and work well as a cross functional team.
  • Must have good coordination and organizational abilities. This is needed in a bid to always deliver products on time to customers.
  • Must display a high level of good leadership qualities.
  • Must have good time management abilities.
  • Must understand the basics of customer care.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team or even lead a team when called upon.
  • Ability to multitask and display flexibility while carrying out duties.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of computer software and operation (MS Office).
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Must be familiar with manufacturing based ERP planning systems.

Skills Required

  • Must be a U.S. Person
  • At least 2 years of experience in scheduling or supply chain
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
