Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Production Planner & Scheduler 2 or 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located fully on-site in Palmdale, CA.
Overview:
Reporting to the Production Control team at PDM, the Production Planner follows a product through it’s entire maintenance cycle as the point of contact for all parts, materials, and hardware tracking. Prep and release the Bill of Materials for each cost center and ensure all components arrive on time, prior to the start of the statement of work. Monitor the MES callboard and order/track any parts required for unscheduled rework. Ability to work with multiple inventory systems to track parts/materials. Provides/briefs status of parts and track to closure.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple programs and products
Plan and prioritize operations to ensure customer schedule and requirements are met
Coordinate the creation of production work order documentation for release to the shop floor
Work with materials planning to determine and schedule materials needed to cover production demand
Coordinate with program management and the manufacturing managers to ensure material supportability
Identify potential issues or deal with current disruptions to minimize delays in supply
Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, GSC, GSE, Program Management, Manufacturing Management, and other teams on a daily basis.
4/10 1st shift, Monday - Thursday.
Basic Qualifications:
Level 2:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years, Master's Degree or or in-lieu of degree with 6 years of experience. Experience must be in production planning, supply, logistics, inventory control or material management
Must have an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Level 3:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years, Master's Degree and 3 years or in-leiu of degree with 9 years of experience. Experience must be in production planning, supply, logistics, inventory control or material management
Must have an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance and must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ Years’ experience in inventory, materials or production planning, or related experience
Proficiency in MS Office Programs
Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced, highly technical work environment
Responsible self-starter and team player with manufacturing or service experience
Written and verbal communication skills
