Position Summary
Oversee production planning and management activities within the organization. Develop production plan, budget, and timelines according to production specifications. Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications. Plan workflow and schedules for production department.
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
- Plan production schedules yearly, quarterly, monthly, and weekly to meet customer demand.
- Work with other supply chain team members to establish production plans.
- Effectively manage stock in preparation of seasonal demand to maximize product sales.
- Ensure department operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals. Participate in recruitment and selection process.
- Oversee the accurate recording of department employee’s attendance system and provide all necessary information to enable accurate payroll preparation.
- Coordinate the use of SAP and computerized systems.
- Monitor production planning and/or stoppages of production lines and communicate issues or problems with management.
- Receive orders and ensure their completion using appropriate internal procedures.
- Maintain good relationships with cross-functional departments.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems, including performing internal audits as required.
- Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory.
- Maintain high level of inventory accuracy.
- Capacity planning for can production lines
- Ensure high level of production schedule attainment.
- Managing a team/coaching/mentoring/performance.
- Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Business Logistics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous managerial experience required.
- Previous SAP experience a plus
- Strong analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions from data.
- MS Office including Excel experience.
- Strong critical-thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization.
