Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Planning Manager located in Guadalajara, North.
Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Production Planning Manager role will be responsible for leading production planning and control activities to ensure production goals are met, including material planning follow-up, schedule coordination, and communication of risks or constraints impacting the production plan. The role will partner closely with Materials, Program Management, Warehousing, and Purchasing to expedite critical parts, manage delivery changes, avoid excess inventory, and provide accurate production status updates and reports to leadership.
What a typical day looks like:
- Notifies Materials and Program Management of material situation that affect the attainment of the production plan.
- Maintains reports to reflect scheduling, methods, hold up performance and process procedures.
- Interfaces with warehousing and purchasing to expedite problem parts and to reschedule material deliveries that will result in excess inventory.
- Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
- In charge of the development and implementation of the company’s production control functions including Master Scheduling, Production Planning/Coordination, Shop Scheduling, and Dispatching.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Engineering degree or Bachelor's degree completed.
- Solid experience in production planning and production control within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading planning teams.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably BAAN, to support production planning, material follow-up, scheduling, and inventory control.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills for developing, maintaining, and analyzing reports related to production status, scheduling, performance, risks, and constraints.
- PowerPoint knowledge to prepare and present production metrics, updates, and key indicators to leadership.
- Knowledge of supermarket management.
- Intermediate English.
