Job summary:
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Planning Administrator located in Columbia, SC.
Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager the Production Planning Administrator role is responsible for performing the administrative tasks relating to production planning.
What a typical day looks like:
- 1st Point of contact for Leads and Ops/ Stock Room/ Receiving by being on the Floor.
- Serve as Eyes and Ears of the Line to Production Planning/ Master Scheduling
- Working knowledge of Primary/ Secondary Lines to ensure continuous coverage
- Communication Link with Production Planning/ Scheduling
- Release/Print/ Post Work Orders
- Owner/ Report out at MDI Board on Inventory Section
- Inventory/ Red/ Green from Previous Day
- Inventory Trend CTB %
- Inventory Trending Causes
- MDI Actions
- X to Y by Z Who does what by when
- Owner, QTY, ETA, Tracking
- Any Red condition/ 15-day shortage- likely an action needed.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires 4-6 years of related experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Affects different areas by contributing to development of techniques or concepts. May assist in developing department goals/ targets
