SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating production activities and material usage planning for manufacturing site(s) at BBIOVECTRA. This role will support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Master Capacity Schedule (MCS) by ensuring timely material availability, creating and maintaining bills of materials, and managing requisitions from order placement to release.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Analyzing production schedules, forecasting and planning material needs, and managing inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production
• Building and maintaining detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for production processes within BIOVECTRA's ERP system.
• Chairing weekly supply chain meeting to align production schedule with sales,
manufacturing, Procurement, Project Management, and QC departments.
• Confirming and Verifying manufacturing schedule to plan material requirements
• Publishing forecasts for Procurement to plan orders and coordinate required deliveries
• Creating and submitting requisitions to the Procurement department for required materials
• Monitoring the process from order initiation to release, ensuring timely material availability to support on-schedule manufacturing
• Optimizing inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with meeting service requirements, while ensuring strict adherence to on-time manufacturing schedules.
• Identifying material shortages based on updated lead times from Procurement.
• Tracking and Reporting Actual consumption vs Planned consumption.
• Identifying and recommending solutions to resolve material constraints.
• Creating jobs in the ERP system and co-ordinate with warehouse team for staging to align with manufacturing schedule
• Continuously monitoring pace of production though shift reports for any exceptions in raw material usage and inventory levels to ensure continued available stock is ordered for uninterrupted on time production
• Performing analysis to recommend the maintain optimal inventory level of raw material and consumables.
• Ensuring compliance with QMS requirements, such as new materials and management of change (MOC) processes.
• Ensuring the achievement of assigned KPIs in a timely manner.
• Working effectively and cooperatively in a multi-functional team environment and with all departments and levels of leadership.
• Adhering to BIOVECTRA’s Health and Safety Policy as outlined in CP0010 Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Statements of Principle, and Responsibilities.
• Additional duties assigned, based on business needs on supervisor’s request.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• Other technical diploma supplemented with technical training or equivalent work experience may be considered.
• CPIM, CSCP certification is a strong asset.
Experience:
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience, preferred planning and/or project management experience.
• Proficiency in computer skills with experience using Microsoft office Suite, SAP/ERP systems.

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $20.37 - $35.65/hr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
