Role Summary
The Planner's primary function involves planning and scheduling to execute the production plan and meet customer deliveries. The department reviews all repair dispositions and bills of material to prepare products for production. Production planners will engage in all aspects of QRC planning including new valves, parts, repair, automation, and field services.
Responsibilities:
- Job creation, cancellation, and reschedule accounting for material and capacity on a daily basis.
- Provide realistic schedule for valve release within production window
- Communicate effectively with plant, engineering, customer service, and other personnel to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Ensure work orders are released and sent to the shop on a daily basis
- Process documentation for shop personnel to effectively disposition and repair valves
- Create As Found reports and effectively communicate findings to Commercial Operations daily
- Review, create and release orders and valve packets to meet customer deliveries.
- Process BOM & Material Requirement changes for orders in production
- Provide feedback to Sales Engineers & Commercial Operations daily.
- Facilitate Parts and Valves through a Manufacturing & Assembly facility
- On a daily basis, recognize and change make/buy decisions to reduce lead times

- The list below is representative of the knowledge, skill, experience, and abilities needed to meet the responsibilities of this position
- mnimum of an associate’s degree from a college or technical school; or 3-4 years with related Planning and/or training for a service position; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 – 5 years of working in a manufacturing or Service environment as planner or coordinator with Control Valves
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present effective information in one-on-one or small group settings with customers
- Detail oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Willingness to work over-time as required
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Internet along with the ability and willingness to learn how to use other or new business software packages as required by the role
- Working ERP knowledge with Oracle preferred, &/or SAP Experience
- Valve and Actuation shop experience is beneficial
