OPERATIONS

The Operations team serves as the backbone of our marketplace, seamlessly managing the entire order journey. From creating online content and ensuring secure payments to order fulfillment and delivery, while providing comprehensive customer and partner care, this team is relentlessly focused on improving the customer experience every single day.

GUIMARÃES

Our Guimarães office is located in this beautiful and historic city, often described as the ‘birthplace of Portugal’. This is where our creative operations team is based, in a custom-built office and studio facility with a games room, music area and unbeatable chill-out zone. 

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Production Planning Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fine-tuning production plans and meeting service level agreements (SLAs) for Farfetch Production. Your primary responsibility will be the elaboration of the physical production plan, ensuring that the execution follows the correct operational flow and within the installed capacity, enabling on-time and efficient delivery aligned with seasonal priorities.
In addition, you will actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the optimization of planning processes, capacity utilization, lead times, and overall production efficiency.

This role is based in Guimarães office (Avepark)

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and maintain detailed production plans, adjusting schedules according to actual inbound arrivals.
  • Ensure production plans respect the correct assumptions like operational flow and critical path milestones.
  • Plan and balance production activities in line with installed capacity, identifying constraints and optimizing the operational flows utilization.
  • Monitor execution against plan, analyze deviations, and proactively re-plan to mitigate risks to delivery timelines and SLAs.
  • Collaborate closely with Production to align priorities and ensure smooth execution.
  • Track and manage production SLAs, ensuring on-time completion and handover to downstream operations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates of production status, quantities, and timelines in planning systems.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in planning processes, capacity management, and production flow efficiency.
  • Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions related to planning and execution issues.
  • Contribute to performance reporting and planning reviews, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and preparedness to respond effectively to unforeseen challenges.

WHO YOU ARE

  • +2 years of experience in planning with proficiency in MS Excel;
  • Eager to optimize resource planning for maximum productivity;
  • Skilled at problem-solving and resolution;
