Production Planner

St Austell, Cornwall | Up to £34,300 | Permanent | Monday to Friday (37.5 Hours a Week)

You'll be joining Imerys' Central Planning Team, working across production, logistics, quality and supply chain to make sure the right products are made, in the right quantities, at the right time.

It's a role with real responsibility, variety and visibility. You'll use your planning and analytical skills every day, but you'll also build relationships, influence decisions and work with people across multiple operational sites.

And importantly, this isn't simply a job where you're expected to arrive knowing everything. You'll join an experienced team, have opportunities to develop your skills and build a longer-term career in planning, supply chain or operations.

• Up to £34,300 salary, depending on experience

You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining production and inventory plans across a number of operational sites.

That means balancing customer demand, plant capacity, stock levels and operational priorities  and working with colleagues to solve problems when those things don't line up.

You'll use SAP, Excel and Google Sheets to analyse information and support your planning decisions, but the role isn't just about spreadsheets.

You'll lead planning discussions, work with different teams, challenge priorities when necessary and build relationships with people across the organisation.

You'll be the person helping turn the numbers into a plan and the plan into action.

• Creating and maintaining production plans to support customer demand and service levels.
• Monitoring inventory levels, production requirements and operational priorities.
• Coordinating production schedules across multiple sites and product groups.
• Managing production orders and planning information within SAP.
• Supporting efficient inventory and stock management.

• Analysing production, inventory and demand data.
• Maintaining and developing planning tools using Google Sheets and Excel.
• Producing reports and planning updates for operational stakeholders.
• Using data to support planning recommendations and business decisions.

• Leading daily and weekly planning discussions with operational teams.
• Working closely with Logistics, Quality, Customer Service and Supply Chain colleagues.
• Influencing production priorities through data-driven planning.
• Building effective relationships across multiple sites and functions.
• Communicating information clearly and confidently to a range of stakeholders.

• Identifying opportunities to improve planning processes and operational efficiency.
• Supporting business improvement projects and initiatives.
• Contributing to a culture of collaboration, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

• Experience within production planning, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics or a complex processing environment.

• Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering results.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Eligible to drive in the UK with access to personal transport.

• SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP system experience.
• Production, inventory, demand or supply chain planning experience.
• Supply Chain qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience within manufacturing, minerals or industrial operations.
