Essential Functions

  • Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company's products in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
  • Responsible for evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
  • Execute Manufacturing Resource Planning using MRP system.
  • Stage materials orders, picking, kitting, work orders, and stocking levels based on production demands.
  • Responsible for effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
  • Responsible for promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
  • Accountable for compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production.
  • Responsible for maintaining capacity models.
  • Responsible for recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements and Material Resource Planning (MRP).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with computerized materials control programs and MRP systems.
  • Proven record showing the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good computer skills: including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management or related field

Experience

  • 3 - 7 years working experience in production planning and scheduling
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MRP processes and systems

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
