The primary role of the Production Planner is to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process by scheduling production runs.
Primary Responsibilities:
The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and review production plan with the management team.
- Coordinate and schedule production activities on all available production lines.
- Meet production goals and demands and operate within budget.
- Revise production schedules when required due to order changes, material shortages, and capacity constraints while collaborating with management.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse and Purchasing departments to ensure real time inventory for upcoming production runs.
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to comply with regulatory and 3rd party auditing agencies.
- Work with the facility manager to develop process improvements and recommend or procure new or replacement machinery.
- Maintain, manage and strive to improve yield and production metrics.
- Follow safety guidelines, company standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Three to five years of experience scheduling production
- Advanced skills in MS Office
- Excellent organizational and scheduling capabilities
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Problem-solving skills
- High School Diploma; degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
- Knowledge of HACCP and SQF preferred
