Overview

Flow Dry Technology is seeking a full-time Production Planner/Scheduler to coordinate and plan production orders, balance available capacity, and support a smooth flow of materials and customer orders through the value stream. This role partners closely with Purchasing, Customer Service, Production, and management to create realistic plans, communicate changes, and strengthen our planning and scheduling processes.


Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Review and plan production orders in SAP, including material availability, process requirements, and lead times.
  • Schedule and release production orders to the shop floor in a way that balances capacity and optimizes workflow.
  • Partner with buyers to understand material availability and supplier lead times so production plans remain accurate and achievable.
  • Communicate with Customer Service regarding product availability, schedule changes, disruptions, and potential delays.
  • Work closely with the Production team to balance workloads across operations and effectively use available capacity.
  • Monitor planning priorities and adjust schedules as business needs, materials, or capacity change.
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning systems, processes, data accuracy, and overall workflow.
  • Support continuous-improvement initiatives that make planning and scheduling processes more reliable and user-friendly.
  • Create and maintain training documentation for planning customer orders and troubleshooting ERP-related issues.
  • Support key performance priorities, including safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory, and productivity.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Production planning or scheduling experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and fundamental manufacturing operations; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement practices preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use business systems effectively.
  • Strong communication, organization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions, and follow through on commitments.
