Summary:
The Production Operator as a member of the production team is responsible for performing a variety of production assembly operations, rotating through the manufacturing area and producing finished products in accordance with appropriate procedures and standards. This role is based in our facility in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway and the working week is a 4-day compressed working week from Monday to Thursday. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Meet required production outputs in terms of quality and quantity ensuring customer expectations are met.
  • Follow written instructions in full while performing all tasks ensuring that all paperwork is completed and signed off appropriately.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, clearly, and completely in line with specific procedures and GMP & GDP standards.
  • Train on multiple steps and rotate between tasks as required/directed.
  • Integrate into the production team, exercise a high level of attention in performing all tasks.
  • Contribute improvement ideas and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Check products passing through workstations on the production line to confirm they are properly assembled, highlight and remove any defective products.
  • Set up equipment and operate test equipment on the line.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Pass Leaving Cert or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a regulated production environment is advantageous.

  • Must be able to accurately follow work instructions and procedures.
  • A good team player who works well in a small team environment.
  • Attention to detail is essential in the performance of all duties.
  • Good interpersonal skills, builds effective relationships with employees in other departments.
  • A self-starter takes initiative in the performance of their duties.
  • Gradually gains more knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the business operates.
