Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved
- Drive execution against production schedules and customer/program priorities
- Build, mentor, and develop manufacturing teams, leads, and supervisors
- Establish accountability and maintain a high-performance culture on the production floor
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
- Monitor production metrics, labor utilization, throughput, scrap, and efficiency targets
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, process optimization, and operational excellence
- Ensure compliance with all company quality standards, manufacturing procedures, and safety protocols
- Support hiring, workforce planning, onboarding, and employee development efforts
- Assist in developing standardized work instructions, training documentation, and operational processes
- Drive root cause corrective actions related to production and quality issues
- Support production readiness activities for new product introduction and scaling efforts
- Help develop and improve manufacturing workflows, production planning, and operational infrastructure to support company growth
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, medical device, advanced materials, or related industries
- Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, scheduling, quality systems, and operational metrics
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving, high-growth manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting production scale-up efforts
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Exposure to AS9100 or similarly regulated quality systems
- Experience within complex manufacturing environments involving machining, integration/test operations, fabrication, composites, textiles, or technical production processes
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
