Production Manager
As a Production Manager you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all manufacturing operations related to automotive cable and wiring system production. This role ensures efficient production planning, high-quality output, cost control, and compliance with automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949), while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
In your daily job you will:
- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules aligned with customer demand
- Ensure on-time delivery and monitor production KPIs, adjusting resources as needed
- Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce scrap and downtime
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S)
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and reduce defects
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D methodology)
- Lead, coach, and develop production teams, ensuring proper training and performance
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Monitor production costs, labor efficiency, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain)
- Support new product launches and process improvements
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Completed bachelor's degree
- +3 years as a Production Manager in an automotive industry
- Proven experience in wiring harness, cable systems, or similar production environments preferred
- Advanced english: written and spoken
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred)
- Strong understanding of IATF 16949 and automotive standards
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
