Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
Conducts safety initiatives (safety & behavioral observations), investigates and documents all incidents together with EHS; conducts safety meetings; authorizes work and signs permits; participates in the plant safety committee
Overseeing the entire production process, from planning to completion
Managing production schedules and resource allocation to meet specifications and deadlines (lead times)
Monitor production (KPI) to resolve issues; set up the goals
Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives, understand requirements and control results
Cooperate with other Production Managers from other facilities (in other sites/countries) to share experiences
Focus on continuous improvement (eliminating bottlenecks) by initiating LEAN project (with support of active project leaders)
Estimate costs and implement cost-saving strategies
Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (skill matrix)
Determine number of necessary resources (workforce), track the absenteeism level
Ensure output meets quality standards
Report to upper management
To become a production manager, you will be required to have a range of skills. These include:

Education: technical background (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, eg. Production Management or Industrial Engineering)
Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role (min 5 years)
Manufacturing experience – preferably in the plastics industry
Experience in Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
Knowledge of QC/QA (Quality Control/Quality Assurance) and health & safety standards (HSE)
Budgeting and cost control experience
- Fluent English
