Job Description: Position: Production Manager
The position of the Production Manager is a key component to the organizations success. The Production Manager will work directly with the Line Supervisors to achieve the highest levels of throughput efficiency and production output. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and have proficiency in multi-tasking.
Responsibilities:
- Implement work schedules and assignments to meet production goals
- Monitor line throughput to ensure efficient production output
- Create, implement and oversee standard operating practices and measurable output goals per position
- Work directly with the V.P. of Supply Chain Management on daily tasks and production schedules
- Lead and Participate in continuous improvement on the production floor
- Monitor and enforce safety and housekeeping regulations
- Provide daily production reports by line and function
- Provide additional analytics and reports as requested by V.P. of Supply Chain Management
- Monitor work activities within the department to insure product quality, production requirements and efficiencies are met
- Confer with management and participate in employment-related issues for staff within the department
- Other job duties as assigned
Education, Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of prior work experience
- Bachelors Degree
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must work well in an fast-paced environment with dynamic requirements and priorities
- Attention to detail and committed to managing problems through resolution
- Being adept with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel and Outlook is necessary
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
