Job Description:

Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Production Manager. This role will be supporting the Huntsman Performance Products Division located in the Jurong Singapore manufacturing site. The Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility. The role provides leadership to operations personnel, ensures compliance with EHS and Process Safety Management requirements, and drives operational excellence through continuous improvement, workforce development, and effective resource management.

This position will be based in Jurong Island, Singapore.

As a Production Manager, you will: 

Own the overall performance of the Operations organization, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation through effective leadership of supervisors, coordinators, and operations personnel.

Champion a Zero Harm culture and lead by example in all safety related activities.

Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards across all operations functions.

Conduct regular field engagement, self-audits and safety observations to reinforce safe work practices.

Proactively identify organizational, operational, and capability gaps and implement sustainable improvements to address them.

Ensure robust succession planning, workforce development, and competency management within the Operations team.

Drive a culture of operational discipline, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Ensure production commitments are achieved while maintaining safety, quality, environmental, and reliability standards.

Work with onsite EH&S to ensure compliance with all company and regulatory EHS requirements within the Operations department.

Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions.

Challenge existing processes and operating methods to improve safety, reliability, productivity, and cost performance.

Ensure effective coordination between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to achieve site objectives.

Anticipate future operational needs and implement organizational or process improvements before issues impact performance.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.

Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, energy, pharmaceutical, or related process industries.

Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience in an operations environment.

Strong understanding of process safety and operational risk management.

Demonstrated experience leading and managing multiple levels within an organization.

Demonstrated experience of leading teams, driving operational performance and working with other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing facility.
