POSITION SUMMARY

This role is responsible for overseeing operations within a designated manufacturing zone, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met. This role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to drive performance and continuous improvement across the assigned area.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

· Manage daily operations within a specific production area, ensuring output meets quality and efficiency goals.

· Lead and supervise area personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

· Monitor production metrics such as throughput, downtime, and defect rates; implement corrective actions as needed.

· Coordinate with cross-functional teams (maintenance, quality, logistics) to resolve issues and optimize workflow.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the area.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

· Report area performance to senior production leadership and contribute to broader operational planning.

· All other duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Ability to read and interpret diagrams, BOMs, and instructions

· Strong leadership and team-building skills.

· Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems.

· Solid understanding of quality control, safety standards, and lean methodologies.

· Must be able to maintain a safe working environment

· Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems as they arise


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

· Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.

· 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.

Skills Required

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

  • Willingness/ability to work second shift (M-F 5:00pm-3:30am) plus mandatory Saturday (3:00pm-11:30pm).
