Position Overview 

The Production Supervisor reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. The role ensures the delivery of daily production targets, compliance with EHS policies and procedures, and adherence to H.B. Fuller quality standards. Additionally, the position is responsible for leading and guiding production and temporary workers, promoting a safe working environment, and driving operational effectiveness across the team.

Primary Duties
 

  • Plan, organize and prioritize production activities to consistently meet output, cost, quality, and service targets.
  • Ensure robust process control and final product quality, including continuous optimization of operating parameters.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams, ensuring the right capabilities, engagement, and high performance standards.
  • Drive recruitment and workforce planning, ensuring adequate staffing and competency levels across all areas.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by actively participating in EHS initiatives, ensuring full compliance with policies, and leading by example.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence by identifying productivity and efficiency opportunities and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Contribute to investment decisions, process innovation, and modernization initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure production operations are cost-effective and aligned with customer requirements, including lead times, service levels, and quality standards.
  • Lead and supervise shop floor activities, ensuring discipline, compliance, and adherence to operational standards (including 5S).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of operations.
  • Manage production issues, deviations, and emergencies effectively, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
  • Monitor team performance, conduct regular evaluations, and drive a culture of recognition, accountability, and continuous development.

Minimum Requirements
 

  • Degree in Engineering (chemical, Mechanical or other relevant area)
  • +2 years of experience in production supervisor/manager role
  • Very good spoken & written English language capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes, including process design and development.

Preferred Requirements
 

  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably within the chemical or adhesives industry.
  • Solid knowledge of occupational health, safety, environmental regulations, and local legal requirements is preferred.
  • Practical experience with 5S and Lean Six Sigma principles; Green Belt certification is considered an advantage.
