Snapshot of Responsibilities:
- Work in a cleanroom environment to troubleshoot and repair automated medical device build and support equipment.
- Service and repair automated assembly, packaging, and weigh checking equipment.
- Service and repair control instruments, including heating and dispensing equipment installed onvial filling and component treatment.
- Service and repair forma pack, treatment and other fully automated PLC controlled equipment and support systems.
- Service and repair of facility support equipment including RO/DI water systems, Compressed air systems and generator systems.
- Perform adjustments to improve efficiencies, equipment performance and minimize down time.
- Responsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner, complete all necessary repairs and adjustments in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
- Perform associated tasks such as completing work orders, maintaining equipment logbooks and all required documentation related to maintenance and repair activities.
- Responsible for performing routine and non-routine preventative maintenance on semi-customized production equipment and facilities.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining an accurate inventory of spare-parts inventory, ordering supplies when necessary, documenting parts usages, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with building renovation projects and production line installations
- Generate minor levels of documentation (reports, memos, etc.)
- Observes company GMP and safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Clearly communicate downtime issues to maintenance Supervisor.
- Interact positively with team members, production personnel and all levels of management.
- Perform additional maintenance tasks and duties as required.
- Perform day-to-day facilities activities including such tasks as moving equipment and furniture, minor building repairs, hanging shelves / pictures, etc.
What You Bring:
- Experience (3 – 6 years) in an industrial setting, with working knowledge of automated production machinery.
- Previous maintenance experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
- Experience in trouble shooting electro-mechanical and PLC controlled equipment.
- Ability to respond to 24/7 emergencies or be on call as required.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and Ladder logic diagrams
- Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and weekends as business demands.
- Should be PC literate, experience with standard office software tools.
- Ability to use calculator and measuring tools required.
- Possess mechanical maintenance experience with automated equipment, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
- Good verbal interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively with fellow maintenance and production team members.
- Ability to help guide other team members in repairs and adjustments.
- Possesses troubleshooting skills pertaining to;
- Electrical circuits and components including prox switches, sensors, and relays
- Pneumatic devices, cylinders, Actuators, flow controls and valves
- Vacuum generators, pumps, switches, and support devices
- Servo and Stepper motors and controls
- AC and DC motor drives and controls including VFDs
- Linier actuators, encoders, and dispensing pumps
- Printing and labeling equipment
- Can use a VOM to diagnose and troubleshoot.
- Familiar with Vision systems, robotic systems, and ultra-sonic welders a plus.
- Working knowledge of facility support systems including Air compressors, standby generators, DI/ RO water systems and monitoring systems
- Ability to clearly communicate technical system issues to Maintenance Manager.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Trade school in a mechanical discipline desired.
- Valid Driver’s License required
