At Spartronics, the Production Team Lead leads a team of assemblers in daily operations involving, in-process quality checks, and final assembly in the Aerospace and Defense sector. This role ensures compliance with all quality standards (AS9100, AS9102, J-STD-001, IPC-620) and promotes a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. The Production Leader will serve as a key liaison between Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and customers to deliver the highest-quality products on time.

What A Day Looks Like:

  • Mechanical and/or electrical operations or assemblies involving fixed indicating meters, in-circuit test/functional test, marking machines, jigs & fixtures, packaging equipment, wire cutting, stripping & twisting equipment, various types of fastening devices involving power operations, hand tools and gauges (fixed, micrometers, calipers, rules).
  • Ability to solder and inspect in accordance with J-STD-001 and IPC-620 or ability to be trained.
  • Ability to perform continuity and power testing for the tasks associated with this role or ability to be trained.
  • Assemble and/or repair subassemblies, assemblies, High Level Assemblies, instruments, and final assemblies of various components utilizing a wide range of tools, work processes and skills to approved documented procedures/specifications.
  • Deploy sound inventory control methods and procedures. This will include being able to allocate materials to work orders, incoming inspection assistance, and ability to issue inventory in MRP if applicable.
  • Handle, mix and test hazardous chemicals while using PPE.
  • Ensure the safety & well-being of all employees and visitors to the facility. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental & regulations, operating & work instructions, policies and rules in place. Report any possible violations to Management immediately.
  • Provide daily supervision, coaching, and oversight to assembly personnel, ensuring quality and productivity goals are met.
  • Plan, coordinate, and assign work based on production schedules, material availability, and resource capacity.
  • Guide and support team members in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and quality standards.
  • Ensure accuracy in inspection and assembly documentation, including records, reports, and logs.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills to meet deadlines and manage shifting priorities effectively.
  • Be accountable for personnel performance and hold team members accountable to established standards and expectations.

Requirements

  • Education- Associate’s degree preferred or 5+ years’ experience performing inspection or assembly within an Aerospace or Defense manufacturing and/or EMS environment. HS Diploma required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead a team in a positive manner and resolve conflict effectively.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions.
  • Proficient in computers, specifically MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals using direct reading, gauges, rulers, and scales.
  • Must be quality conscious and have a good work ethic.
  • Must maintain ESD Precautions Standards certification in areas/facilities where required (training provided by employer)
  • May be required to lift or exert up to 55 pounds as required by the job task.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, wire diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work onsite (this is not a remote position), at our facility located in Plaistow NH and be able to, based on business conditions work overtime.
  • ITAR Regulations require all candidates be a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee. We cannot sponsor Visas.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt, hourly paid role. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, education, years of relevant experience, and specific expertise in the electronics manufacturing industry.
