Production Lead

About your role:

As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for coaching, training, assigning, and checking the work of Production Associates . You will oversee shift operations through scheduling and ensure the completion of assigned production projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor and evaluate the workflow throughout the department and provide verbal and written work status reports to the supervisor 
  • Assign work to associates and follow up to ensure satisfactory completion 
  • Stage and prioritize work assignments in advance 
  • Operate and monitor equipment to process work according to instructions and/or client expectations, as well as setting up and calibrating equipment per guidelines and/or job specifications 
  • Respond to equipment troubleshooting to resolve machine and job-related problems 
  • Work with associates in team effort to further company goals concerning productivity, safety, quality, and Continuous Improvement initiatives 

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced production environment operating production machinery and performing routine maintenance.
  • Ability to use basic computer systems to enter, review, or track production or quality information.
  • Proven ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language 

What would be great to have: 

  • Experience with warehouse staging and inventory systems (e.g., handheld barcode scanners, basic WMS).
  • Completed safety training such as OSHA-10 or equivalent and demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures.
  • A team player that works well with others but can also work independently

How you’ll work:

  • You will work an assigned 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift schedule.
  • Eligible to earn shift differential pay for working 2nd and 3rd shift 
  • Flexibility in schedule to work required overtime that includes weekends and holidays 
  • This role requires frequent moving and/or carrying of materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • This role requires the ability to stand for a majority of the shift; safely lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds; lift above your shoulders; and climb, squat, kneel, twist, push, and bend frequently during each shift.
