Responsibility for the following areas: 

Enforce policies and procedures according to corporate handbook.

Lead the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as powder coating operators.

Coordinate work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals as determined by the supervisor. 

Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.

Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.

Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures.

Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.

Set up and adjust machines and equipment.

Utilize ERP to process work order, balance labor hours, and WIP goods.

Technical Skills:

Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Conducting tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Monitoring and controlling operations of equipment or systems.

Determining causes of operating errors and making improvements to minimize future errors.

Resource Management Skills:

Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work.

Obtaining and seeing the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of prior lead experience in a manufacturing environment

Powder coating experience preferred, but not required

Familiar with Six Sigma or similar, organized and process driven

Leadership style that people want to follow

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 3 years prior lead experience in a manufacturing environment
