The Role  

The Production Lead Hand will guide and support a team of production employees across various departments on the production floor. This role combines hands-on technical capability with strong leadership to ensure efficient, safe, and high‑quality operations. You will assist with daily task coordination, provide direction to staff, and step in to perform production duties whenever needed. This role reports to the Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all job tasks carried out by workers across multiple production areas. 
  • Fill in and assist when departments are short staffed or when covering for absent employees. 
  • Support task assignments and daily scheduling to maintain efficient workflow. 
  • Provide clear direction and guidance to production employees. 
  • Oversee machinery setups and adjust machine controls as required. 
  • Complete the job demands of all labourer positions on the production floor. 

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of facility operations, processes, and procedures. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, guide, and motivate a team. 
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality. 
  • Excellent problem solving skills and adaptability in a fast paced environment. 

Working Conditions:

  • Fast paced production environment. 
  • Requires standing for long periods and performing physical tasks. 
  • Must be able to work in different production areas as needed.
